The West Indies Federal Archives Centre at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados is pleased to be the first University Archives in the Caribbean region to host the  International Council on Archives, Section for University and Research Institutions Archives Conference in June 2013.

The chosen theme for the 2013 ICA SUV Conference is The New Age Archivist: Managing Archives in a Digital World. This theme  seeks to address the new challenges posed by emerging technologies to the role of the archivist. The main objective of the conference is to critically discuss and share views on the need for archivists to remain relevant in the digital age.

The programme will not only appeal to archivists in universities and research institutions but will provide meaningful debate and useful data to archivists and other information management professionals across all sectors.
