The West Indies Federal Archives Centre celebrates one of Barbados' newest knights. Emeritus Professor of History at The University of the West Indies, Chair of the Federal Archives Advisory Board and the National Archives Advisory Board, Sir Woodville Marshall.

Sir Woodville was ceremoniously dubbed Knight Bachelor by Governor General, Sir Clifford Husbands on 12th September 2011 for his outstanding contribution and service to education. He was granted the highest award locally by Queen Elizabeth II in her Birthday Honours List of June 2011.
